Tracy Tsai, the #1 miracle baptism of my mission, just told me today that her husband, Noah was
BAPTIZED in June. This is amazing. This is a gigantic step closer to having a family united in the Gospel. Noah had been a staunch Buddhist, but has always been open to learning the Gospel of Jesus Christ and has gradually gained a testimony.
Tracy was the equivalent of a relief society president of a Taiwanese Presbyterian Church when I met her. Having rejected the elders on the streets of Flushing many times, she felt bad after turning me away and sought to find me. When she did, I shared the first discussion with her in front of the Flushing library. She loved the message, and the scripture about the Holy Ghost contained therein was her favorite (Gal. 5:22-23). Afterwards, I fasted and prayed that she would fall in love with a scripture in the Book of Mormon. She did.
She was baptized about half a year later. Right after her baptism, she read the
ENTIRE D&C and Pearl of Great Price in three days. She was endowed in the Salt Lake Temple a year later.
Providence smiled on me again. My childhood dream was to go to BYU, and the Lord got me in in spite of my grades. My mission dream was to baptize someone who would be as strong as I was in the Gospel, and that was fulfilled: at one time her temple attendance was better than mine. Now I've got one more dream remaining, and it's taking longer than I have anticipated. It's good to have a little reminder that the Lord will deliver.
